Darlene Ruth Lehrmann Clark went to her heavenly home on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale and the funeral service will be at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with burial immediately following at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Darlene was born May 14, 1948, in Falls County to Gus and Selma Emma Haverkamp Lehrmann.
She worked at A&W Root Beer in Bryan, where she met Harold R. Clark. The two later married on Nov. 13, 1966, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Bryan.
Throughout their life together, Darlene and Harold lived in Wichita Falls; Jacksonville, Florida; San Diego, California; Azle; and later Rockdale.
Darlene worked at Buddies Supermarket in Alpine and later in Rockdale at Winn’s, City Food, Discovery Days, and as a substitute teacher—a job she loved.
She enjoyed gardening, working outdoors and woodworking.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Ann Lehrmann Royder and Shirley Ann Lehrmann Kunkel; her brother, Harold G. Lehrmann; and her mother- in-law, Gladys Wimberly Clark.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Harold R. Clark; daughter Dawn Louise Clark Weller and husband Louie Weller Sr.; son Dereck R. Clark; grandchildren Cora Louise Cruz and Louis Weller Jr.; three godchildren, Trisha Royder Bell and husband Keith, Denise Kunkel Muegge and husband Jeff, and Justin R. Kunkel; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Additional family members include Doug C. Kunkel and wife Karen, Dr. Darron L. Kunkel and wife Sandy, Craig Lehrmann and wife Dawn, Jamie Kunkel, Justin Kunkel and wife Rose, Tabitha Durbin and husband Jeff, Callie Kunkel, Wesley Payne and wife Taryn, Laramie Payne, Katelyn Boyd, Brandon Weller, James Weller, and their 12 children.
Pallbearers are Doug Kunkel, Jamie Kunkel, Justin Kunkel, Wesley Payne, Keith Bell and Jeff Muegge.
