Lady Dog basketball didn’t waste much time Friday evening at their third district contest in Holland, where they beat the Lady Hornets 57-21.
Thorndale built an early lead at the close of the first, up 14-8. But THS outscored the Bell County squad 16-4 in the second to take a 30-12 lead at halftime. The boost was in big part due to two three-pointers from Abby Dickerson and another from Kassidy Eubanks.
The Lady Dogs held on for the remainder of the game, outscoring Holland 27-9 in the second half to stay undefeated in District 27-2A.
Dickerson led Thorndale with 12 points, while Makayla Lafferty and Bailee Baker each finished the night with 10.
