Downtown revitalization

The sidewalk work going on downtown is supposed to be finished in front of The Reporter at the end of May and I’m starting to get very excited about our downtown changes. It’s going to look so good when it’s all done.

In yet another instance of things returning to normal, we took Mom out to eat at the Piano Bar & Steakhouse on the Friday night before Mother’s Day, and boy was it delicious. We really haven’t been going much of anywhere over the past year, especially Mom and Dad, so it was a real treat.

100 YEARS AGO... Trade Day was held every second Monday in Rockdale, where provisions were made for the sale, exchange or barter of any article farmers had to dispose of. Rockdale Public School term was to closed May 27, with commencement exercises following May 27 and 31.
