The beat goes on

EDITORIAL There are some people you simply cannot replace, but you have to try anyway. One of those is the late Susie Sansom Piper who passed away last October at the age of 98. For 42 consecutive years Mrs. Piper wrote a Black History Month series for The Rockdale Reporter.

Dear Editor, I wanted to write this to thank the AMR ambulance service and fire department for how they responded to my emergency on Wednesday, Jan 7. When I called 911 they were at the house in minutes. The patient’s lips were turning blue and I didn’t know what else to do.
