Halloween activities for kids to enjoy all around town

The Rockdale PTO has announced that the trick or treating times for this year will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31. There are several events your children will enjoy, and The Reporter has compiled a list of all the ones we know about.

The Rockdale Fair Association did it again, providing a good time, good music, good food and lots of fun for attendees. But most importantly, area children got to show off the animals they have worked so hard to raise and make some money.

The City of Rockdale will host a tire recycling opportunity for Milam County citizens from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Fair park, 200 Walnut St. Tires only are accepted and only from individuals. No business tires. Both passenger car and tractor tires will be accepted.

ORGANIZATIONS

Rockdale Rotary Club meets the first, third and fourth Tuesdays of each month at the Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department from noon to 1 p.m. Lunch is provided. Rockdale Noon Lion’s Club also meets at RVFD on the first and third Wednesday of each month with lunch provided.

Wayne and I joined family Saturday in Rockdale for a celebration of life for Edward Dworaczyk. Edward was Sandra’s husband, Larry’s and Garry’s dad. He will be missed. I hope by the time you read this that the sun is shining. It is a dreary beginning for Monday.
