Rockdale Rotary Club meets the first, third and fourth Tuesdays of each month at the Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department from noon to 1 p.m. Lunch is provided. Rockdale Noon Lion’s Club also meets at RVFD on the first and third Wednesday of each month with lunch provided.

RHS Class of 1993 to host 30th reunion A 30th Reunion for the Rockdale High School Class of 1993 will be held Saturday, Oct. 28. The reunion will include a 4 p.m. tour of the high school, 500 Childress, and a 5 p.m. gathering at the East Bell Taphouse, 101 E. Bell Ave.

New Jersalem will host Hallelujah Fest New Jerusalem Church in Rockdale will host a “Hallelujah Festival from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29. The church is located at 103 Mulberry St. The event is described as a “Sweet Treat for the Soul” and the event will feature snacks and goodies for the public.

Rockdale City Council on Monday passed a Tax Increment Redevelopment Zone (TIRZ) for the downtown and eastern highway corridors in hopes of encouraging cleanup and new investment.

48th Rockdale Fair will feature rodeo, music stars

It’s almost Fair time! The 48th annual Rockdale Fair & Rodeo will be held Oct. 14-21, featuring professional rodeo and top country music acts to dance the nights away at Rockdale Fair Park. Tickets are $30 for a 3-day adult pass, $20 for children and seniors.
