Updated schedule for homecoming

The Rockdale Homecoming Association is busy finalizing plans for the annual citywide Homecoming to be held Sunday, June 11 at the Patterson Civic Center. The honored business is McVoy Grocery & Feed Store. If you are an early bird, doors will open at 9 a.m. for coffee, donuts and conversation.

Law enforcement increasing patrol for summer holidays

The Milam County Sheriff ’s Office and law enforcement officers across Texas will increase patrol for the Click It or Ticket campaign. This campaign reminds Texans to buckle up day and night, front seat or back, every time they get in a vehicle.

Rockdale Police Officers made five felony arrests dur ing the past week including: • Kiki Ali Cashaw, 38, Rockdale, was arrested on Tuesday by Ofc. Lentz for two counts of possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram), possession of marijuana (less than 2 ounces).

The Milano Class of 2023 will graduate Friday at 7 p.m. All of the seniors are ready to forge their own path into the world. Pray for them to be successful. RETIREMENT— I am so sad to announce that one of the greatest math teachers ever is retiring.

Appelt Family Reunion to be held June 4th The Appelt Family will be celebrating its 59th reunion on Sunday, June 4, at Appelt’s Hill Hall in Hallettsville. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and lunch of stew, sausage and assorted side dishes will be served at noon.
