Rockdale High School’s One Act Play, “To Burn a Witch,” will be performed at RHS auditorium on Friday, April 22 at 6:30 p.m. The play is about two girls who have been accused of being witches. Admission is $5.

Place of Hope’s 10th anniversary fundraiser party set for April 22

Place of Hope will be holding their 10th anniversary “Hope Night Celebrates” fundraiser party at 6 p.m. Friday, April 22, at The Milam County Cowboy Church. This year’s theme is “Dream Big, Sparkle More, Shine Bright” in honor of the babies and moms using their services.

Easter, Earth Day events in Rockdale

• Friday at 10 a.m., Community Easter Egg Hunt and Carnival at Fair Park. Egg hunt, face painting, carnival games, egg decorating, egg pail decorating, hot dogs, pictures with the Easter Bunny hosted by RISD ACE Tigers Afterschool, Girl Scouts and Rockdale Chamber of Commerce. • Friday at 4 p.m.

Mayor John King officially declared Friday, April 22, as Earth Day in Rockdale. To honor Earth Day, Rockdale Earth Day members decorated the library with all things Earth Day.

POSGCD, AgriLife to hold pollinator classes

Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District and Texas A&M AgriLife are holding an EarthKind program about plants and pollinators and how to propagate them. The class will be held on Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to 12-noon.

Family FunFest honoring victims Saturday, April 23

Aware Central Texas and Rockdale Police Department will hold a Family Fun Fest on Saturday, April 23, from noon to 4 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park. This event is in honor of National Crime Victims Rights Week.

Rockdale Junior High to host Family Art and Science Night

The Rockdale Junior High will host a Family Art and Science Night along with the Rockdale Junior High Book Fair on April 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. The night will be filled with many activities, and visitors will be able to tour our student art gallery.
