FUN TIMES— St. John’s United Methodist Church held their annual fundraiser, Lord’s Acre, on Sunday after church with a meal cooked by the Methodist Men. There was both a live and a silent auction. Auctioneer John Fisher has volunteered his services every year since the fundraiser started in 1997. This year the church raised $22,000 auctioning paintings, Christmas décor, trips, baked goods, dinners, jewelry and more.

FUNDRAIS-ER— The Knights of Columbus held a barbecue chicken fundraiser on Sunday and the busy workers sold over 300 plates which included a barbecue half chicken, sausage, German potatoes, green beans and dessert. FUNDRAISER
Shawn Leifeste of Cameron 4-H Club exhibited the grand champion steer at this year’s 50th annual Fair. It was purchased by Kyle Office Products, Milam County Livestock Auction, Orion DC LLC c/o SB Energy and Open AI Inc. for $20,874, plus $1,275 added money, for a total of $22,149.
