Rockdale PD makes two felony arrests, responds to five traffic accidents

Rockdale Police Officers made two felony arrests dur ing the past week including: • John Pratt, 40, Rockdale, was arrested for theft of property (under $2,500) with two or more previous convictions. • Kendall Booth, 38, Rockdale, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (1 to 4 grams).

Milano ISD Supt. Luevanos passed away on Monday

Elisabeth Luevanos, superintendent for Milano ISD, passed away Monday. She was recovering from an auto versus pedestrian accident. Acting Supt. Kevin Terry said, “We lost a member of our family today and it hurts.

Volunteer firefighter needs live kidney donor

A member of the Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department’s finest needs our help. Rockdale native and RHS graduate Alonzo Montelongo has been on dialysis for the past eight years due to kidney failure. He is asking for help in locating a living kidney donor.

Veterans Day program on November 11

Rockdale Independent School District will hold its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on November 11. The day begins with a veterans breakfast at 9 a.m. in the Rockdale Junior High Library. The Veterans Day program will be held in the Rockdale High School competition gym at 10 a.m.
