Sandow Lakes Energy Company (SLEC) has received official approval from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for its Air Quality Permit, clearing a major regulatory step for its upcoming ultra-efficient natural gas power plant.

After 12 years of exceptional leadership and four decades in education, Rockdale ISD Superintendent Dr. Denise Monzingo has announced her retirement, effective June 2026. Dr. Monzingo joined Rockdale ISD in 2014 and was named Superintendent of Schools.
