Ok, ok. I’m not going to talk about Thanksgiving food for at least one week, but I sure am looking forward to it. Ken and Christine were here last weekend and we started talking about our Thanksgiving meal. Noelia is our turkey, gravy and homemade roll maker.
1 1/2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. dried thyme
1 tsp. minced garlic
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 chicken gravy dry mix packets
1-1/4 cup water
2/3 cup heavy cream (add at the end)
Add the chicken to the slow cooker.
Chili at the Depot set for November 14
Choo-Choo Chili at the Depot will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Depot in a drive-through fashion.
Tickets are $10 and include chili, condiments and dessert.
