Police Chief Jerry Meadors and officer Dillan Ford were where they were meant to be Oct. 8. “Officer Ford and I were both standing in dispatch when the 911 call came in,” Meadors said in his office Monday. On the calling end was a voice that sounded pretty frantic saying, “Send help. Bee attack.

Rockdale police made four felony arrests over the past week with one of them involving a minor. The 15-year-old was arrested on a warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on Oct. 14.

• Tuesday, 5:34 p.m. — Milano VFD responded to a call for a fire about a half mile from the 600 block of CR 237, but found that it was an unreported controlled burn. • Thursday, 6:42 p.m.— The Rockdale VFD put out a grass fire in the 1200 block of North FM 908. • Friday, 5:13 p.m.
