Pair of 3-vehicle collisions during week for police

POLICE REPORT Rockdale police were called to a pair of three-vehicle accidents during the past week. Police, and the Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department, were called out at 7:53 a.m. Thursday to an accident on US 79 near Rockdale Intermediate School.

CHRISTMAS EVE ALARM

An in-house alarm alerted residents of the Hunter’s Chase Senior Apartments on East Belton just before 9 a.m. Monday. The alarm brought two Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department pumpers to the scene. Residents said the alarm was triggered by fire in an oven which generated smoke into hallway.

Wanda and Al Coats joined Ray and Paula Coats and family in Bryan for a Christmas get-together Saturday afternoon. They then joined Kevin and Lori Coats and family in Bryan and on Sunday Sherri and James Rasco and James’ sister Joy, Jayne and Amon Bailey visited in the Coats’ home.
