Constitution Day

EDITORIAL Just because we’re not reading it this year doesn’t mean it’s not in use Monday is Constitution Day. That’s not up there with the big holidays but it certainly was last year in Milam County.

If you, like me, pass by the construction site of the new Tiger Field at least once a day, it’s been a lot of fun watching the progress on a day-to-day basis. It’s really been fun in the past two and one-half weeks.

100 YEARS AGO.... Lt. Harley Perry, brother of A. E Perry of Rock-dale, was attacked by three German planes in France. Lt. Perry shot down one of the planes and helped lead his Allied pilot companions safely back to base.
