Christmas bazaar deadline approaching, space limited

There is less than a week to get signed up for your arts and crafts booth at the upcoming Christmas bazaar. The Milano Christmas Bazaar is looking for vendors to sell between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m on the same day as the city’s Christmas parade, Dec. 12.

Few things compare to seeing the joy on a child’s face upon opening a holiday gift. Many adults remember holiday gifts they received as children, and holiday shoppers often try to look for gifts that will be just as memorable to the special youngsters in their lives.

Isn’t she a beauty? Rockdale now has a new, big, beautiful Christmas tree in Wolf Park for the whole town to enjoy each holiday season. The idea was conceived by the Rockdale Downtown Association with a lot of help from Chad Harris with Whinstone US.

Let’s all come together to get to year’s end

We have all been through a very trying year. Some have been very ill, some have lost family members and/ or friends, some have been quarantined and some have lost their jobs. Schools and businesses have closed and we don’t socialize like we used to.

Looking back...

10-20-40-100 YEARS AGO 100 YEARS AGO... The Rockdale High School football team met Rosebud and, after a hard-fought battle, defeated them, 53-13. This was the second game of the season between Rockdale and Rosebud with the first game ending with a score of 7-6 in Rockdale’s favor.

Are you thankful?

Happy Thanksgiving or if you are reading this after Thursday, I hope you had a great holiday! I like Thanksgiving. It gives us the opportunity to take an inventory.

Thanksgiving casserole, mushroom gravy

After you eat your leftover turkey sandwich that you’ve been looking forward to all year, if you still have leftovers this Thanksgiving casserole sounds pretty good to me.
