In 1944 Americans were asked to storm Omaha Beach. In 2020 we are being asked to sit on the couch and watch reruns of Barney Miller. We can do that. In fact, we need to do that and we will do it. In moments of crisis Americans have always come together. This one, of course, is different.

Turning the tables on moms and dads

I saw this quote on the internet the other day: “In an unsettling reversal of my teenage years, I am now yelling at my parents for going out.” Last Monday I put my mom and dad in quarantine. They didn’t love hearing it, but agreed it was a good idea. At least for a few days anyway.

COVID-19 is dangerous, highly-contagious

Make no mistake – the COVID-19 virus is a dangerous killer. Remember this is a novel virus and there is no cure. Many that contract the disease spend days in ICU with pneumonia and some do not survive. It attacks the young and the old.

Yummy cucumber favorites

Convinced about Jesus

Where do I start this morning? I’m writing this mid-morning on Monday. It’s hard to know what to think right now isn’t it? I woke up Saturday morning and really wondered for a minute if all of this is just a dream and then it was like, nope, this is all very real.
