EASTER EGG HUNT

Friday morning hundreds of kids, ages 0 to 7, had fun hunting for Easter Eggs at Fair Park. This annual event is sponsored by the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce and always draws a big crowd of kids, adults and grandparents.

First Friday Coffee April 5

Rockdale Earth Day is sponsoring the First Friday Coffee at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library on April 5. All are invited from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

In 1982 Carroll Gaser, Linwood Mehaffey, Wayne Meissner and Stanley Beard bought Triple Sec for $28,000. The horse completed his career with a total of 46 races, nine wins, 11 second places and eight third places with earnings of $526,652.

Recipes using leftover ham

If you have leftover ham after Easter, I have your back this week with recipes to help you use it up. This first one sounds very interesting to me. I have had ham biscuits but not like this where the ham is chopped up in the dough. Cayenne pepper is often added to dishes with cheese.
