Lewing celebrates 100th birthday Dorothy Lewing celebrated her 100th birthday May 13. She has enjoyed extensive travels, hiking, mountain climbing and skiing. She left Texas at age 17 for Colorado to work on the railroad. She returned to Texas to finish raising her family.

Early and election day voting times, locations

Early voting for primary runoffs stated on Monday and will continue through May 22. Rockdale’s location is the Patterson Civic Center with voting from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cameron will vote at the Milam County Annex from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
