RHS Class of 1968 reunion set for Saturday The Class of 1968 will have a reunion at the Rockdale Country Club on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. “For those in other classes who would like to visit us, please come between 1:30 and 3 p.m. for a visit. We welcome you,” said Debby Currey, organizer.

ORGANIZATIONS

Rockdale Rotary Club meets the first, third and fourth Tuesdays of each month at the Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department from noon to 1 p.m. Lunch is provided. Rockdale Noon Lion’s Club also meets at RVFD on the first and third Wednesday of each month with lunch provided.

Sandow Lake Training Center Complex was the setting for the Milam Countywide Tabletop Exercise (TTX) held Friday, September 29. Milano Fire Chief Kain Dodd designed and facilitated the scenario.

Dear God, I’m doing the best I can

Kyle and Bill Cooke have done this before, so I give myself leave to do it once: share another’s inspiration. I recently read, Prayer is sharing with God exactly how we feel, knowing God will understand. Jesus said that unless we become like children, we will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Milam County's burn ban was lifted today at noon, according to Milam County Judge Bill Whitmire.
