Rockdale PD makes four felony arrests, responds to one traffic accident

Rockdale Police Officers made four felony arrests during the past seven days including: • Adrian Isreal Herrera, 20, Rockdale, was arrested by Ofc. Wall for possession of a controlled substance (4 grams to 400 grams). • Demarcus Parr, 43, Rockdale, was arrested by Ofc.

Responded to: • 2671 FM 487 for a burn ban violation on Thursday. • The 600 block of Marshall for a lift assist on Friday. • 3040 CR 306 for a burn ban violation on Friday. • US 77 at CR 313 for a one vehicle accident on Friday. • 1401 Yokley for a transformer on fire on Saturday.

Bake sale to benefit St. Joseph’s Cemetery

A bake sale to benefit the upkeep of St. Joseph’s cemetery will be held at the East Bell Tap House from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 29. According to organizer, Rey Mata, they will have cakes, pies, cookies and other sweet treats. The monies raised will be used to maintain the cemetery.

The missing peach

O ur youngest son Jack is awesome. I might be biased in my assessment of him but he is in the coffee business, plays just about any musical instrument, he’s left handed, besides Willie he is about the only person I know that can rock the pigtails.

Touching stories about touching

The first chapter of the Gospel of Mark tells a literally touching story. A leper came to Jesus begging to be healed. He knelt before Jesus, saying, “If you choose, you can make me clean.” Moved with pity, Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him and the leper was made clean.
