Milam 4-H starting dog project in the fall

We are starting the 4-H dog project in the fall. We would like to see who might be interested in participating. We also hope to make a field trip in July to the State 4-H Dog Show to learn how to get started this summer.

End of year excitement

The end of a school year is an exciting time. It is a time when we get to recognize all of the accomplishments of our students. I enjoy the many events that take place as we get ready to close out the school year: banquets, ceremonies, concerts and more.

Tips for outdoor picnic safety this summer

With warmer temperatures upon us, being outdoors is a great way to spend time with friends and family, especially at a picnic. Having a picnic is a fun way to change up your mealtime. However, the Texas heat can wreak havoc if food is not handled or cooled properly.

Four felony arrests reported this week

Rockdale Police Officers made four felony arrests during the past week including: • Austin Blaire Rydell, 56, Taylor, was arrested Wednesday by Ofc. Krejci for possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram) and for a Williamson County warrant for striking an unattended vehicle.

FIRE CALLS

Rockdale VFD responded to: • The 200 block of Yoakum and East Cameron Avenue for a one vehicle accident. They weren’t needed but they were called back to sprinkle cat little on an oil leak caused by the accident.

MILAM COUNTY JAIL LOG

Jail log lists all people charged with offenses through the county jail in Cameron. Charges may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.
