Barbecue lineup

Folks were lined up Saturday for the Gause Volunteer Fire Department’s annual barbecue fundraiser at the fire station. The customers included Justin Litchfield who was hosting a conference near Gause. He decided it would be a good way to feed those at the conference.

Tractor Supply Company has announced that its Neighbor’s Club loyalty program has been reinvented to provide new features and benefits for members. The program provides members points for their purchases and membership levels based on their annual spending.

Rockdale Earth Day to hold work day at RHS

Rockdale Earth Day volunteers will hold a day of service on Earth Day, April 22, from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers and students will meet at the RHS gymnasium and then be sent out in groups all over the community to pick up trash to help beautify Rockdale.

AA meets at Crossroads Bible Church weekly

Rockdale Peace Seekers AA meetings are at Crossroads Bible Church, 811 Burleson St. The meetings are scheduled on Tuesdays and Sundays at 7:30 p.m.

Heavenly Treasures shifts their open days

Heavenly Treasures is now only open four days a week, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon. Their April special is $3 bags every Wednesday.

Girl Scouts of Central Texas start new project

The Girl Scouts of Central Texas (GSCTX) will celebrate their centennial, the 100th anniversary of the first Girl Scout troop formed in our area in 1921. As part of our centennial celebration, Girl Scouts are encouraged to participate in a council-wide service project.
