ROCKDALE POLICE REPORT

Rockdale officers worked two minor wrecks during the past week with one of them being a hit and run. A blue truck reportedly hit an unoccupied 2008 vehicle and took off after the accident which was in the 200 block of San Andres. That happened Sunday at 5:09 p.m.

• Tuesday, 2:19 p.m., Gause VFD responded to a grass fire on Cox Hollow Road. • Friday, 1:36 p.m., Rockdale VFD along with Milam County Sheriff’s Office and AMR responded to South FM 908 for a car that flipped over. • Friday, 4:34 a.m.

Jail log lists all the people charged with offenses though the county jail in Cameron. Charges may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.

Happy New Year! Did you make any New Year resolutions? Not me! Don’t most people break them anyway? Gause ISD students, and probably all other schools, resumed classes this week. Gonna be summer vacation before we know it.

Crown Garden Club announces donations

Crown Garden Club members are not meeting monthly at present but hope to get started up again in 2021 at the first meeting of the new year in September. The club has still been taking part in some activities.
