County sales tax nets big increase from Whinstone

This was the month Milam County has been waiting for so long as sales tax receipts are concerned. March sales tax rebate checks from Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar showed a whopping 71.46 percent increase to date over the previous year.

Milam, it’s time to be counted

Expansion election for hospital district

Voters in the Rockdale ISD will head to the polls May 3 to decide the fate of a proposal to expand boundaries of the Rockdale Hospital District (RHD) from the city to those of the school district. And possibly decide the fate of the hospital district itself.
