Senior Center seeking volunteers, donations The Rockdale Senior Center is in need of volunteers on Mondays to deliver Meals on Wheels twice per month. They are also asking for donations for their Angel Tree and seeking people to adopt a senior or buy items from their wish list.

Carne Adovada is delicious

Today let’s talk about those dried, red chilis you see at the store. This dish, Carne Adovada, is from New Mexico and the word adovada just means “marinated.” And that’s where the red chiles come in.

It’s a dreary Monday morning, but into April now so maybe we will have some sunshine before long. A perfect day for allergies and those annoying headaches—things included with the weather change. Delores Fisher reports there was a bad fire in their hay patch.

I like Jesus and I like Him a lot. Why He wants to hang out with an old, tired, cynical and worn out pastor is hard to understand. Besides the Blonde (aka my wife Jennifer), He is the best friend I’ve got and sometimes He is the only friend I’ve got beside the Blonde.
