COVID-19 testing reveals 6 new cases

Six new PCR cases and no discharged PCR cases were reported Wednesday.  There wasx one new probable case and one probable case was discharged from the active list.     Seven people were tested in Milano with one positive test result.

US 79 work now underway

Those traveling west of Rockdale along US 79 have probably noticed “new” signs and some heavy equipment along the roadway. Get used to seeing them because they are going to be around for awhile. The milling and overlay project on US 79 began Oct. 19 and is scheduled to continue through January.

Two downtown buildings to get new look

Covid-19 cases up this week

Trump parade makes its way through Milam County towns

On Sunday, 177 vehicles with around 400 people took part in a parade, estimated by organizers to be 12 miles long, to draw attention to and show support for President Donald Trump.

Police make 3 felony arrests in past week

Derrick Christopher Bradley, 39, a resident of Round Rock was arrested Friday at 2:33 p.m. by Sgt. Joah McCaleb for possession of controlled substance (less than one gram) and driving while license invalid. Lawrence Scott Gonzales, 38, of Rockdale was arrested on Sunday at 3:45 p.m. by Sgt.
