Local Alcoa Retirees to meet March 12th

The first meeting of the Rockdale Alcoa retirees will be on Thursday, March 12 at 5 p.m. at The Thorndale Memorial Veterans Hall (former VFW Hall). There will be a short There will be a short meeting to elect officers at 5:45 p.m. followed by dinner.

Washer Tourney at Apache Pass, Sundays

Sunday washer tournaments will be held at Apache Pass Ice House starting at 5 p.m. The schedule will be “Bring a Partner” on the second Sunday, and “Draw a Partner” on the fourth Sunday. Registration starts at 4:30 p.m. $20 per team, double elimination. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams.

Master Gardeners plant sale March 7, Cameron

Little River Basin Master Gardeners will have their plant sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 7 at the Youth Expo Center in Cameron. The focus will be on native plants which require less watering, in addition to all the bedding plants and roses they usually have.
