Our family members and friends helped granddaughter Addy celebrate her third birthday with a party Saturday afternoon at our home. She had a blast but, of course, she’s always the center of attention being the youngest one around and she is precious to us. So glad they live next door.

MLK Parade set downtown 4 p.m. Sunday

QUICK LOOK Elias and Margaret Green will be grand marshals for Rockdale’s annual MLK Day Parade, set for 4 p.m. Sunday, the day prior to the actual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday. The parade forms at the corner of Ackerman and Cameron (US 79).

Holiday closings

Monday is the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday and a number of businesses will be closed. Rockdale ISD, Thorn-dale ISD, Thorndale St. Paul’s, Milano ISD and Gause ISD students have a holiday. Financial institutions, the post office and the city library will be closed.

Child porn indictment returned

CAMERON—A 46-year-old Rockdale man was indicted Thursday by a Milam County Grand Jury on two counts of promotion of child pornography and two counts of possession of child pornography.
