FIRE CALLS

A rural house west of Rockdale was destroyed in an early morning fire Sunday. The Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department responded to the blaze, on County Road 306 just east of the Alcoa turnoff and north of US 79, a 3:37 a.m. It was reported that the house was already fully engulfed.

Warrants issued in theft ring targeting businesses
