Shaw

Dalton Shaw was born Nov. 9, 1994, in Abilene to Tamara Eudy. He attended school in Pflugerville, Round Rock, Jacksboro and Cisco, and also studied government policies at Austin Community College.

Dalton served as an infantryman in the U.S. Army from Dec. 28, 2014, through April 2019. He graduated basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia, and was stationed in Wahiawa, Hawaii, Scholfield Barracks with D/2-19 2nd PLT “Death Dealers” D Co Wardawgs 2-19 in April 17, 2015. His rank was specialist at the time of his honorable discharge. He had everything in place to re-up and was only waiting for a spot to open up at the duty station he wanted which was with his friend, Ty Smith.

Dalton worked as a CNC machinist at Made In America Manufacturing both for and with his brother, Bradan Eudy. He was most currently working as a welder both for and with his best friend Brandon Carl. Dalton also worked as the Regional Field Deputy at the Republican National Committee in Abilene.

He enjoyed reading political books and books of useless facts you never needed to know. He also enjoyed documentaries and war movies.

His most favorite thing to do was hang out with his brother and friends and making everyone laugh and enjoy life, as he lived life on his terms.

He loved sports from an early age and participated in football and track. Many coaches believed he was a natural athlete and had the potential of having a professional career in the NFL as he had the talent and could play any position on both offense and defense.

He was a huge Texas Longhorns fan from an early age and dreamed of one day being a team member. Sadly, that dream was crushed for reasons beyond his control.

He also enjoyed Golf Pro with his brother and their friends. He loved everything as long as he was doing it with Bradan, but one of the best times he ever had was the day they and a few more friends rode RVs while having a paintball competition despite having been hit in the mouth by a paintball.

He enjoyed country music and only a few knew he wrote and co-wrote a couple songs (“You’re Good Enough” and “You’re Beautiful to Me”). He had an angel’s voice, but he was too shy to really perform in public, however, he did muster the courage to sing on stage in Coupland a few times but with his back to the audience.

Dalton had many friends and a special bond with those he considered the truest of true which included Brandon Carl, Ty Smith, and all his army brothers, among others. However, Dalton’s greatest friend in this world was his brother, Bradan and they shared a bond most could only dream of ever having. Dalton appreciated, admired, respected, loved and cherished Bradan for the man he is and for the man he guided, encouraged, and helped him become. Dalton was beyond proud to be the world’s okayest brother of Bradan.

Dalton also loved his sister, Briona, and enjoyed the time he was recently able to spend with her. He also loved his niece, Kambri, and nephews, Jaxen and Tristan. Dalton had a special love for his Papa, Bill Eudy, and always enjoyed the stories his Papa shared with him.

Dalton was also absolutely adored by Brandon’s daughter, Avery and Ty’s sisters, especially Paige.

Lastly, Dalton and his mother shared an extremely close relationship. She wasn’t only his proud mother; she was his friend. He once told her when and if he ever got married, they were living with her forever to which she laughed.

Dalton always knew he would be fixing her computer every time he came home on leave. He had so much fun laughing at and with her over her complete lack of sense of direction. He said he knew her lack was real because he had watched her try so hard to “get it.”

He had the ability to laugh about what they termed “Tamara Moments” without making her feel less intelligent.

He was her call when she’d get lost and stay on the phone with her no matter how long it took to make sure she was where she needed to be. He was her go-to guy on election nights when she’d start getting lost and he would immediately text or call explaining what states we needed, what numbers we needed, etc.

The guy knew his politics inside out and upside down. She’s finding peace in knowing how much he loved her and him knowing how much she loved him. Till Valhalla, Dalton!

Dalton is preceded in death by his father, Chuck Theyel, and his maternal great-grandparents, Donald and Marie Watts.

He is survived by his mother, Tamara Eudy; his brother, Bradan Eudy; his sister, Briona Sattarphai; his nephews, Jaxen Bailey and Tristan Schwausch and his niece, Kambri Sattarphai; his Papa and Mema, Bill and Dottie Eudy; his uncle, Ronnie Eudy; his aunt, Jacque Walraven and his cousin, Stacia May. He also leaves behind all his Army brothers—RHEC—Till Valhalla and many, many friends whom he loved dearly.
