Montelongo

Gloria Montelongo, 60, of Rockdale died Friday, May 25, 2018. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Montelongo was born Nov. 2, 1957, in Amhurst to Louise and Antonia (Martinez) Tijerina. She was a Rockdale resident for the past 31 years, having previously lived in Amarillo.

Evelyn Joyce “Sissy” (Pruett) Romoser, 93, of Spring died Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Graveside services were held at Saturday, May 26, at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale, with Bill Isenbarger of Woodland Hills Church of Christ officiating.

Terry

PLANO—Dorothy Jean Terry, 83, of Plano died Thursday, May 17, 2018, in Plano. A home-going celebration was held Friday, May 25, at Greater New Birth Baptist Church in Plano. Interment followed later Friday at New Oaklawn Cemetery in Rock-dale.

Dove

James Darrell Dove, 63, of Rockdale died Saturday, May 19, 2018, in a Temple nursing facility. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. John Self.

Ford

Denson Ford, 76, of Rockdale died Tuesday, May 15, 2018, in the Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple. Private family services were held. Mr. Ford was born Dec. 30, 1941, in Milam County to Ben and Myrtle Elizabeth (Burgess) Ford.

Galbreath

Billy K. Galbreath, 95, of Rockdale died Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Richard Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday, May 21, at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Rockdale with Rev. Adam Straznicky officiating. Burial was at Salty Cemetery near Thorndale.

Rogers

Memorial services for Benny Rogers, 76, of Rockdale will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Meadow-brook Baptist Church in Rockdale with Pastor Stephen Ammons officiating. There will be no visitation. Mr. Rogers died Sunday, May 20, at Renaissance Villa in Rockdale.

Avrett

Darwin Avrett, 71, of Milano died Friday, May 11, 2018. Funeral services were held at Wednesday, May 16, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with burial following at Oak Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Avrett was born Sept. 29, 1946, in Cameron to Alexander Howard and Ruby Iola (Christian) Avrett.

Coleman

D.C. “Charlie” Coleman, 85, of Rockdale died Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Renaissance Villa, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers. Services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Sanders of Gause will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.

Coleman

George Coleman, 89, of Milano died Wednesday, May 9, 2018. Graveside services were held Monday, May 14, at Sap Oak Cemetery near Stephenville. Mr. Coleman was born Feb. 1, 1929, in Erath County to Alvin Ford and Clara Mae (Wiggins) Coleman. He attended both Sap Oak and Morgan Mill schools.
