Next Monday’s eclipse could bring an economic boost to Rockdale On April 8, the moon will pass between the sun and Earth, blocking out the face of the sun in what is known as a total solar eclipse. It will be the last total solar eclipse visible in the contiguous U.S. until 2044.

Busy start to spring in Milam County

Ihope everyone had a very nice Easter. What a wonderful time of the year. It was good to see so many folks in church on Sunday morning. I do the Children’s sermon in our church, and it was great to have a larger than normal number of kiddos join us.

Weather permitting, the recrowning of The 1895's bell tower is scheduled for Tuesday, April 2 at 1 p.m. There will be places to stand and watch across the street. Won't that be exciting? I'm so glad it's happening in time for all the sesquicentennial events.
