Tree Lighting Thursday Night at 6 p.m.

Rockdale veteran receives Honor Flight

On Oct. 24 and 25 Dennis Hail was one of 48 veterans from Central Texas who got to board Honor Flight 67 for Washington, DC. After waiting for almost two years due to the pandemic, these veterans got to experience the “trip of a lifetime.

Historical marker dedication Sunday

The Rockdale Chamber of Commerce and The Milam County Historical Commission hosted an official historical marker dedication ceremony for the Coffield House on Sunday at 2 p.m.

The City of Rockdale will end the year in the black

For the first time in a long time the City of Rockdale will end the year in the black. In closing out the 2020-2021 budget the city will have $150,847 in the general fund and $68,776 in the enterprise fund.
