Turkey giveaway winners named

Conservation district OKs fees after hearing

The board of directors of the Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District approved the production and transport fees for 2021 after a public hearing. The production fee is 1.3 cents per 1,000 gallons permitted and 10 cents per 1,000 gallons permitted for the transport fee.

Water districts to hold Dec. 10 meeting

The groundwater conservation districts with ties to the Groundwater Management Area 12 as designated by the Texas Water Development Board, which includes Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District will hold a joint planning meeting at 10 a.m. on Dec. 10.

Superintendent gives state of district report

Superintendent Denise Monzingo presented the state of the district at the Rockdale ISD school board meeting Monday night in the district’s conference center on the high school campus.

Board canvasses Nov. 3 vote

At the Nov. 16 meeting of the Thorndale ISD board of trustees voted 7-0 to approve the election returns of the Nov. 3 vote as presented.

Testing resumes after holiday break

There was not had a lot of reporting over the holiday from our medical providers. However, there are six new probable cases to report.  Twenty-nine cases were discharge over the break, including nine PCR cases and twenty probable cases.  There were no new hospital admissions.

WORK DELAY

The work along US 79 by the Texas Department of Transportation in Rockdale’s downtown has now been postponed twice and still has no new start date.
