100 YEARS AGO.... Frank Tribble received the contract for a six-mile strip of road between Minerva and the forks of the Tracy-Rockdale road. Total amount involved was about $30,000.

NO NEW CASES FROM EITHER TEST!

From County Judge Steve Young Wednesday night: Another important day for Milam County as we had no new PCR or antigen cases to report.  Further, four were discharged from our active lists and no one was admitted to a hospital.

NO NEW CASES TUESDAY

From County Judge Steve Young Tuesday night: I am pleased to report that we had no new confirmed PCR tests Tuesday.  However, we did have three positive antigen tests resulting from our testing in Thorndale.

FIVE NEW CASES REPORTED MONDAY

From County Judge Steve Young Monday night: Monday we have five new confirmed cases of the virus in Milam County.  This is encouraging as it includes the weekend.  Seven individuals were discharged and no one was admitted to a hospital.

ANOTHER MILAM DEATH, FOUR NEW CASES

From County Judge Steve Young Friday night: I am sad to report another death in the county due to the virus.  The Milam County resident had recently tested positive for the virus and died at home on Wednesday.   This brings the Milam County death toll to six.

CASES CONTINUE TO EASE; ONLY ONE NEW ON THURSDAY

From County Judge Steve Young Thursday night: We have one new confirmed case of the virus to report in Milam County Thursday  and three were discharged.  One person was admitted to the hospital and one was discharged.  We tested in Cameron, but the turnout was light.
