Huge solar farm to power major project at Alcoa

It could be the start of the long-awaited “big one” at the former Alcoa’s Rockdale Operations. County Judge Steve \oung told The Reporter he has visited with representatives of a planned approximately 10,000-acre solar farm for the site, which has been on the market several years.

Ten sentenced in district court

CAMERON—Ten persons were sentenced in recent 20th District Court action, according to Prosecutor Bill Torrey. He listed case dispositions as follows: • Brandon Hardman, 26, Cameron, one-year state jail term after pleading “true” to a motion to revoke probation for evading arrest with priors.

Incumbents file for Milano positions All of the incumbents have filed for new terms in Milano. The filing period for the May 2 school and city elections began last Wednesday. In the Milano ISD, trustees Ed Westbrook and Jay Willingham are seeking new terms.
