Milam AD lists new property tax info

New and updated property tax information has just been compiled by the Milam Appraisal District (AD). “Whether you are a homeowner, business owner, disabled veteran or taxpayer, it’s important you know your rights concerning the property tax laws.” said Dyann White, AD Chief Appraiser.

Twelve sentenced in District Court

Elementary-intermediate list UIL results

Astronauts

Theme for study at Rockdale Elementary School has been “Launching the New Generation” and students—including first-grader Brooklyn Prince—made their own “astronaut helmets” and learned about Rockdale’s astronaut, 1968 RHS graduate Ken Cockrell.

Black History Series continues with author’s granddaughter

The Rockdale Reporter’s popular and well-received 42-year Black History Series did not die when revered author Susie Sansom-Piper died last October. Tamara Powell, Mrs. Piper’s great-granddaughter, has agreed to write a series for 2020.
