Driver indicted in injury to cop

A 46-year-old Rock-dale man who was involved in a two-vehicle collision that injured an RPD sergeant earlier this month was indicted in connection with the incident by a Milam County Grand Jury on Thursday.

Intoxication manslaughter case among grand jury indictments

CAMERON—An indictment over the April 11 highway accident which resulted in the death of an Austin man was among the 35 cases returned as true bills Thursday in the June session of the Milam County Grand Jury.

July 4th parade, lunch plans set

Plans have been announced for the annual City of Milano Fourth of July parade and hot dog luncheon. The theme for this year’s parade is “A Grand Old Flag.” All individuals, groups and organizations are invited to be a part of the parade.

Wanda and Al Coats accompanied Paula and Ray Coats to Dallas on Friday to see their granddaughter, Caitlyn Coats, graduate from nursing school with an RN degree. She will go to work in Houston mid-July. On Thursday, they went to Fredericksburg on a tour to see the painted churches.
