FALLING FAR FROM THE TREE We had everyone in the family home for the holidays this year. Sure was nice to have the whole family there. We had a very nice time and ate lots of good food. That said, I am not sad that the holidays are over.

100 YEARS AGO.... In a bizarre lawsuit, City Tax Assessor-Collector J. F. McCalla sued the city, claiming he was owed for assessing Rockdale school taxes. The city and schools operated under the same government.

There’s a reason why, as the days tick down on any year, the old year which is fading into history is depicted as an old man trying not to trip over his white beard. Because it certainly feels that way.

2020 New Year’s Resolutions: Yea or nay?

Are any of you making New Year’s Resolutions? I stopped making them several years ago and only think about making changes in a general way. Like trying to eat better, get more exercise, but never anything very specific. Perhaps that has been my downfall.
