EDITORIAL The Rockdale ISD’s wonderful observance of Veterans Day is set for 10 a.m. Thursday in the high school gym. Sunday is the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. Those two anniversaries are closely related.

100 YEARS AGO.... Big news in The Reporter, and everywhere else, of course: “Germany Has Surrendered Unconditionally” marked the end of World War I. The surrender was signed on 5 a.m. Nov. 11 and went into effect at 11 a.m., French time. Rockdale celebrated.
