Ilost my virginity last week in a way. For the first time ever, I ate at Tex Miller’s in Cameron. I have always heard of it, but I’d never been until last Thursday. People were surprised that I’d never eaten there.

Getting to see two historical events in the past several days was exciting to me. The re-crowning of the bell tower on The 1895 was so fun to watch. I have to admit I was a little scared for those workers on the roof as the tower was being craned in.

The 1924 Interscholastic County Meet of Milam County, held in Rockdale last Friday and Saturday, was the most successful int he history of the county, despite several adverse conditions operating against a full attendance of the rural schools.
