The penny

America began saying its long goodbye to the penny in February. That’s when President Donald Trump ordered the Treasury Department to stop minting the 1 cent coins. Unlike most Trump directives, this one was accompanied by little controversy: It just made sense to stop making cents.

Thankfulness

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” (Luke 1:37) I’m not a fan of the holidays. If Scrooge and the Grinch got married and had a baby they would name it Little Kenny Ansell.

Too beautiful not to be true

Eliminating property taxes

For most of Texas, this is the dream: the elimination of property taxes; and while most county judges cringe at this, just in the time I have been in office, my resolve to see this happen has grown immensely.
