RISD REPORT Opportunities for Rockdale High School students continue to grow each year. The need for skilled labor workers continues to increase, and Rockdale ISD is committed to provide as much as possible to meet the needs for our state and local community.

Gain vs. pain

EDITORIAL Well, 2018, was certainly one of those years. It had some very high highs for the Rockdale area and it also had some very low lows. After all, we began the year reeling from the loss of Luminant’s Sandow Power Plant and ended it reeling from the loss of our health care facilities.

‘Sleeptexting’ latest high tech problem

EDITOR’S CORNER Did you get a text from me that didn’t make any sense? I may have an excuse, and so may a lot of us. The New York Post has reported on a study undertaken by Villanova University on the apparently growing phenomenon of people texting in their sleep. No kidding.
