Over 260 kids had a wild time at Wild Things Zoofari at the library on Friday. Owner Dylan McDaniel brought a red ruffed lemur, a chocolate skunk, a Chinchilla, a tenrec from Madagascar, a Fennec fox and a baby kangaroo.

Tri-County Consumer Decision Making Camp

Young minds from across Central Texas recently gathered to build practical life skills at the Tri-County Consumer Decision Making Camp, a hands-on educational experience focused on sharpening their basic consumer and reasons skills.

103 attend Appelt reunion on June 1

On June 1, 2025, 103 family members gathered for the 61st Appelt Family Reunion at Appelt’s Hill Hall in Hallettsville. They enjoyed a delicious meal of stew, sausage, potatoes and green beans prepared by Tommy Macha and his family, along with side dishes and desserts brought by the members.

FriYAY 4-H Day Camp held June 27

On Friday, June 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Milam County Extension Office had a successful “FriYAY 4-H Day Camp” in the Milam County Annex.
