A National Day of Observance has been declared to honor the death of former President, Jimmy Carter. The Postal Service will suspend regular mail deliveries, retail services and administrative office activity on Thursday, January 9, 2025.

Autopsy ordered in woman’s death An autopsy has been ordered by the Milam County Sheriff’s Office in the death of an elderly Rockdale woman last Wednesday who was allegedly attacked by dogs while in her yard on Beverly Drive.
