Why Rockdale needs an industrial park

Economic development by itself, does not directly help that many people – only those who can participate in it. However, setting up a system where the City can make more money and reinvest into the community can benefit everybody. Rockdale needs industrial value on its tax rolls.

VFW Post 6525 is hosting the First Friday Coffee at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library this Friday, September 6. The event runs from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and all are welcome.

ORGANIZATIONS

Linwood Acres Garden Club meets at 10:30 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at Becky’s Sandwich Shop, 2148 US 77, in Rockdale. All gardeners are welcome to share ideas and experiences.

Rockdale PD makes three felony arrests, two accidents listed

Rockdale Police Officers made three felony arrests during the past week including: • John Robertson Jr., 47, Rockdale, was arrested by Ofc. Davis on a warrant for assault of family/household member impeding breath/ circulation. • Jason Daniel Sanchez, 38, Pueblo West CO, was arrested by Ofc.
