Rockdale VFD Responded to: • Near the intersection of South FM 908 at US 77 for a two-vehicle accident with unknown injuries on Dec. 16 at 5:17 p.m. • Wilcox at Murray along with Atmos Energy for a gas leak on Dec. 18 at 7:17 p.m.

Four traffic accidents reported over past week

Accidents • Ofc. Jacobs responded to the Meadowbrook Baptist Church for a minor two-vehicle accident with no injuries on Dec. 16 at 9:11 a.m. • Sgt. Lentz responded to 307 West US 79 for a two-vehicle accident on Dec. 18 at 7:56 a.m. • Sgt. Lentz responded to Wilcox at Cameron Ave.

Jail log lists all people charged with offenses through the county jail in Cameron. Charges may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.

Most wonderful time of the year

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! But not for everyone. Holidays can be great and they can be a struggle. There are a lot of people out there willing to help, you just have to ask. Be blessed. Enjoy family and friends. And let’s start setting our goals for the New Year!

Things to eat before Christmas dinner

Dips are always good to have around the holidays. Here are a few that sound good to me that can be done at the last minute if necessary. Here’s one that is more of a spread than a dipping sauce. Spread it on toasted baguette or crackers.
