One arrested on felony warrant this week, three traffic accidents reported

About 36 children enjoyed the library’s New Year’s party on Dec. 31 by listening to ‘The Night Before New Year,’ enjoying refreshments, crafts, dancing and counting down to ‘Noon Year.’

Rockdale connection in America250’s Bald Eagle float

The three American Bald Eagle float in the Rose Parade on Jan. 1 from the America 250 Commission (America250. org) has been three years in the making and the leader of this group is Rockdale’s own Lynn Forney Young, the commission’s honorary president general.

St. Paul BBQ fundraiser Feb. 1

St. Paul Lutheran Church and School will hold its annual BBQ dinner and live auction fundraiser on Sunday, Feb. 1, at the Thorndale Fireman’s Hall on FM 486 North. The meal will consist of brisket, barbecue sauce, noodles, pinto beans, potato salad, pickles, onions and bread.
