Theater group to do holiday radio show Milam Community Theater will play the past, present and future, and Ebenezer Scrooge via radio in a version of Charles Dicken’s “The Christmas Carol” adapted by Frederick Garrigus.

Hearing planned for water district

The Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District will hold a public hearing Jan. 12 at 5:30 p.m. to get public comments on the proposed Desired Future Conditions for the area aquifers that were recently adopted by Groundwater Management Area 8 under 36.108, Texas Water Code.

Milam County and the District Attorney’s Office is sponsoring the 22nd annual “Tree of Angels.” The tree is decorated with angel ornaments bearing the tag of the victim and/or their family and is on display at the Milam County Museum.

What a fun time it was in downtown on Saturday watching the Christmas parade. There was a good turnout and several parade entries from across the county. The Christmas Bazaar had to be canceled last minute, but a couple of vendors set up around downtown and did well.
